College Scholarships Awarded For 2016

The Alliance Scholarship Program was started in 1996 to help Alliance Member families meet the costs associated with college attendance – the tuition, books, fees and equipment that students require. “College education expenses are a real concern for families today. Alliance scholarships allow members to stretch their financial resources for education,” explained Alliance President Dr. Paul Pevsner.

This year’s awards of $58,000 to 46 outstanding students raises the total scholarship awards to well over $2.6 million, serving more than 1,800 college students over the past twenty years.

The exceptional scholastic achievements of these students led to their being selected to receive a $2,000 scholarship for their first year and, understanding that achieving an undergraduate degree takes some time, Alliance offers an additional $1,000 renewal scholarship for up to three consecutive years for the students who maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Education and the pursuit of higher education remains a top priority for Alliance. That is why they provide a free online access to AllianceCollegeGuide.com, a resource website to help students and their parents with information on how to prepare, choose the right school, apply, and pay for college.

Scholarship applications for the 2017 award year may be submitted after January 1.
