Polk Training Center Gets New Computers

Alliance recently partnered with U.S. Representative Daniel Webster (FL-10), Fran Beach, executive director of the Lake Alfred Chamber of Commerce, and Charles Lake, vice mayor of Lake Alfred, to deliver ten computers to the Polk Training Center for Handicapped Citizens in Central Florida. The Center’s day program provides training, job opportunities and employment for local citizens with developmental disabilities allowing them to improve their skills and become more active in the community.

“Supporting education is a top priority for Alliance,” says Daniel Faraci, Director of Government Affairs for Alliance for Affordable Services, “whether it is through the scholarship and grant programs for members and their dependents or donating computers to enhance the learning environments for organizations like the Polk Training Center for Handicapped Citizens, who assist and help to improve the lives of Americans with disabilities.”

Congressman Webster mentioned, “It was a pleasure to work with Alliance to connect business with the community by supporting a local service organization.”
